Our primary technology, supporting our ATARS product, enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.

THE ROLE

Red 6 is seeking a Program Planner to join the Program Management Office (PMO) to help support the planning, scheduling, and execution of advanced defense programs.

Working alongside Program Managers, engineers, and functional leads, you will develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), support Earned Value Management System (EVMS) activities, and help ensure program execution aligns with cost, schedule, and technical objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) supporting engineering development and production activities.
• Coordinate schedule updates across engineering, systems, software, testing, manufacturing, and program management organizations.
• Ensure schedule logic, dependencies, milestones, and progress accurately reflect program execution.
• Support implementation of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes and maintain schedule data supporting program performance measurement.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in accordance with MIL-STD-881.
• Support schedule integration with Control Accounts, organizational planning, and program baselines.
• Perform schedule risk assessments, critical path analysis, and "what-if" planning to identify execution risks and opportunities.
• Prepare schedule metrics and program performance information for internal leadership, customer reviews, and Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR) deliverables.
• Maintain schedule configuration control and documentation supporting baseline change management.
• Support compliance with company quality procedures, customer requirements, and applicable DoD program management standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience supporting program planning, project controls, scheduling, or program management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.
• Understanding Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) principles.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.
• Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into executable program schedules.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience supporting DoD acquisition or defense contracts.
• Familiarity with DI-MGMT-81861 Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR) requirements.
• Familiarity with ANSI/EIA-748-C Earned Value Management System Guidelines.
• Experience supporting ANSI/EIA-748 compliant EVMS implementations.
• Familiarity with Control Accounts, Organizational Breakdown Structures (OBS), and Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar engineering collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with DCMA 14-Point Schedule Assessment metrics.
• Understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development in accordance with MIL-STD-881.

COMPENSATION

Estimated Base Salary Range : $60,000-$85,000
