Senior Finance Analyst – FP&A (Global Marketing)

San Mateo, CA / Hybrid *In office 2 days a week

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join PlayStation’s Global Marketing Finance team. Based in San Mateo, California, you’ll manage financial planning, forecasting and performance reporting for our worldwide marketing organisation, with a focus on games marketing and PlayStation Studios titles. You’ll help ensure marketing spend is accurately recorded, forecast and explained.

You’ll work with global and regional marketing, finance and accounting teams to collect and reconcile data, investigate variances and produce clear reporting. You’ll also support the adoption and ongoing improvement of Anaplan, helping teams use consistent planning processes across regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly reporting for games marketing spend, including variance analysis, management commentary and tracking of risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare key elements of the quarterly forecast and annual budget, reviewing assumptions and following up with stakeholders to maintain accurate plans.
  • Consolidate and review financial information across regions and business units, resolving inconsistencies and maintaining data quality for key titles.
  • Work with marketing and accounting teams to track campaign commitments, accruals, actuals and forecast spend.
  • Build and maintain financial models, reports and planning tools, including opportunities to use AI to improve routine analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare regular reporting packs for finance and marketing stakeholders, explaining spend trends, variances and forecast movements.
  • Support Anaplan adoption through training, testing, data validation and ongoing model improvements.
  • Simplify reporting processes, strengthen controls and improve the consistency and reliability of financial information.
  • Complete ad hoc financial analysis and respond to reporting requests from senior stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in FP&A or a related planning and performance reporting role, with the ability to manage workstreams independently.
  • Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills, with a sound understanding of financial statements and management reporting.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and commentary for business stakeholders.
  • Ability to investigate differences in complex data, identify the drivers of financial performance and explain findings clearly.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across functions and regions to gather inputs, review assumptions and resolve queries.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Desirable

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A professional accounting qualification, or progress toward one, such as CIMA, ACCA or CPA.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion or similar finance and planning systems.
  • Experience supporting the adoption of a planning system or improving finance processes.
  • Experience in marketing finance, including campaign investment and spend management.
  • An interest in gaming, technology or entertainment.

What We Offer

  • A hybrid working model based in our San Mateo office, typically 2–3 days per week on-site.
  • The opportunity to play a meaningful role in Anaplan adoption and improvement.
  • Exposure to global finance operations and close partnership with marketing teams across PlayStation.
  • A creative and inclusive culture that values innovation and collaboration.
