About this role
Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.
Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Care Coordinator to join our team.
Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.
About the role
Care Coordinators serve as the central entry point and operational backbone for the Care Management department. They provide comprehensive care coordination for members, including those in Complex Care Management (CCM), Readmission Prevention (RAP), and those who do not fit into existing highly specialized programming.
By taking ownership of administrative tasks, managing post-discharge transportation needs, and resolving inbound inquiries with a focus on one-call resolution, the Care Coordination Team allows our RN Care Managers to operate at the top of their license and helps members reach their optimum health goals in the most cost effective way.
Work Location
This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Arizona; Florida; Georgia and Texas. While your daily work will be completed from your home office, occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events.

- Manage non-emergent medical transportation (NEMT) via UberHealth for members, strictly following program guardrails to decrease readmissions and improve health outcomes.
- Handle internal escalations to specialized departments such as Claims, Eligibility, and Care Navigation.
- Lead special projects as subject matter experts.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to create a positive member experience.
- Perform all other tasks or additional responsibilities.
