Get to know Okta

We are currently seeking a dedicated Employee Relations and Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will support the Employee Relations & Compliance (ER&C) organization by helping to oversee the administration, deployment, and management of Okta's global compliance training programs.

In addition, you will help to oversee the governance of People Policies, ensure cross-functional alignment and publish clear and accessible documentation for employees and managers. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure our workforce is educated on core company values, policies, and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Program Administration: Manage the end-to-end deployment of global compliance and ethics training programs (e.g., Code of Conduct, Data Privacy, Insider Trading, Preventing Harassment, Workplace Violence, and Health & Safety) to Okta employees and contractors.
  • LMS Management: Administer compliance training assignments, manage exception workflows, and track completion statuses to track compliance utilizing the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Vendor Management: Partner with external training vendors (such as LRN) to customize, track, and deploy third-party SCORM courses, including specialized courses like US Public Sector Security Awareness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Legal, Privacy, Internal Audit, and People Business Partners to assess training needs and ensure alignment with regional, federal, and role-specific requirements.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track training completion rates, manage automated and manual follow-ups for past-due trainings, and provide compliance reporting and metrics to leadership.
  • Content Maintenance: Assist in the review and updating of training scripts, test-out options, and embedded acknowledgment forms to ensure they remain current and compliant.
  • Policy Governance: Maintain People policies to guarantee accessibility, compliance, and strict alignment with our policy governance framework.
  • Ad Hoc HR Support: Assist with other People projects, initiatives, and tasks as assigned.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 3+ years of experience in Compliance Training, Learning & Development, HR Compliance, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience administering a Learning Management System (Cornerstone/CSOD experience is highly preferred).
  • Experience managing third-party training content and vendors (LRN experience is a strong plus).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle a high volume of complex work and coordinate across multiple time zones and regions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners and business leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, use independent judgment, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience managing compliance programs in a global technology company or handling federal contractor training requirements.
