About this role

Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.

At NiCE, we don’t limit our challenges. We challenge our limits. Always.

We’re ambitious. We’re game changers. And we play to win.

We set the highest standards and execute beyond them. And if you’re like us, we can offer you the ultimate career opportunity that will light a fire within you.

Product Owner – Automated Insights Innovation

Primary Purpose

As a Product Owner, you will support the ongoing development and enhancement of the Automated Insights prototype application across its lifecycle. You will help identify and build use cases that turn insights into measurable operational improvements, creating capabilities for customer demonstrations and future integration into NiCE production products.

This is a hands-on product role . You will define and maintain a focused roadmap under the direction of product leadership while also building the application. This includes front-end development, API and connector integrations, maintaining and refactoring existing and AI-generated code, and connecting analytics outputs to application workflows.

You will also serve as a central resource as prototype capabilities move toward production, partnering with Research, Product, Services, Design, Engineering, and other teams to ensure successful transition and avoid rediscovery. Customer and field feedback will help inform roadmap and prioritization decisions.

The ideal candidate combines product judgment with hands-on technical skills. They are comfortable with ambiguity, energized by AI-assisted development, able to prioritize with incomplete information, and comfortable working across technical and business teams.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities

  • Own the Automated Insights prototype across definition, planning, release, enhancements, and maintenance.
  • Define and maintain a focused roadmap and prioritize functionality under product leadership.
  • Build new features and application modules from prototypes and specifications.
  • Maintain, refactor, and improve existing and AI-generated code.
  • Build data visualizations and dashboard-style interfaces from designs.
  • Develop and manage API, webhook, and connector integrations.
  • Connect Python-based analytics outputs to application workflows.
  • Support prototype capabilities as they transition into production, partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Document functionality, dependencies, limitations, and technical considerations for receiving teams.
  • Support customer-facing demonstrations, troubleshooting, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Capture feedback from customers, field teams, and product teams to inform prioritization.
  • Support application scalability, performance, reliability, version control, and CI/CD practices.
  • Support other innovation projects, prototypes, solutions, and deployments as needed.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Intelligence/Analytics, or a related field.

Equivalent practical experience in a hands-on product or software development role may be considered in place of a degree.

Required Experience/Skills

  • 3+ years of combined experience in product ownership, product management, or hands-on application development, including ownership through multiple release cycles.
  • Experience defining and prioritizing a roadmap and making trade-off decisions with incomplete information.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks, preferably React, including HTML and CSS.
  • Experience building data visualizations or dashboard-style interfaces.
  • Experience with REST APIs, authentication, webhooks, and connector integrations.
  • Working knowledge of Python sufficient to read analytics code and interpret data science outputs.
  • Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to take ownership of and improve code they did not originally write.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools and practices.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally to move concepts into production.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to a changing environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience moving prototypes or proof-of-concepts into production.
  • Experience with Customer Experience, Contact Center, CCaaS, WEM, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Exposure to conversational AI, chatbots, or outbound engagement platforms such as Cognigy, Verse, or similar.
  • Experience supporting customer demonstrations, pilots, or proof-of-concept work.
