About this role

Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

About the Role

The Screening Specialist owns end-to-end execution of physical and virtual screenings across APAC, acting as the technical and vendor-management expert who ensures every screening meets Netflix's quality bar, on time and on brand. This is a hands-on, in-market role requiring strong cross-functional relationship skills and hands-on project management, supported by technical screening expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of physical and virtual screenings, including DCP/KDM ingest, subtitle and audio configuration, and onsite or remote technical support.
  • Run the standard technical checklist: venue tech checks before screening day, content re-checks with PSCs before doors open, and standby coverage through the end of the screening, covering AV equipment, projector calibration, audio levels, framing, and safety hazards.
  • Manage day-to-day vendor relationships across the team's 19-vendor active roster spanning DCP creation, QC, tech check/on-site execution, engineering/buildout, and virtual-screening platforms.
  • Keep Glowbot (the team's project-tracking system) current and support ongoing efforts to automate manual admin work.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Publicity, Events, Post Production, and Awards on timing, asset readiness, and market-specific requirements (e.g. classification, versioning).
  • Build and manage vendor relationships across APAC, ensuring reliance on vendors; while helping diversify and strengthen the local vendor bench in each country.
  • Serve as the primary screening project point of contact, navigating language, quality, delivery and stakeholder complexity independently.

Requirements - Must Have

  • Strong project and time management, including composure under reactive, short-notice timelines.
  • Comfortable operating independently in-market; will often be the only Screenings presence in India day to day.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills: this role sits at the intersection of Publicity, Events, and Post Production and needs to build trust with all three.
  • Stakeholder & Reputation Management: SME support for cross-functional enquiries; filmmaker/executive alignment on sensitive quality conversations.
  • High attention to detail and an excellence bar suited to premiere-level, talent-facing events.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: setting and enforcing service-level expectations with vendors and engineering contractors.
  • Admin: expense tracking, vendor payment system setup, Glowbot access setup.
  • Willing to travel.

Requirements - Preferred

  • Hands-on technical experience in DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) and AV: DCP, QC, tech check, and KDM technical understanding, plus real-time pass/fail judgment on site.
  • On-Site Execution: technical producing, day-of-event communication management, on-site vendor accountability.
  • Ability to read and enforce precise digital cinema equipment calibration standards.
  • Business acumen and a "quality gatekeeper" mindset, treating technical execution as a strategic contribution to campaign and awards outcomes, not just delivery.
  • Experience building or managing vendor relationships from scratch in a market, especially valuable given India's current vendor concentration risk.
  • Familiarity with festival or awards-season logistics.
  • Regional Operations: proven ability to manage multi-country logistics independently and adapt to local venue/market conditions.

What Success Looks Like

Screenings run smoothly and on-brand across all APAC markets; vendor relationships are proactively managed and diversified; and cross-functional partners see Screenings as a trusted, strategic partner, not just a technical service.
