As a Manager of Programmatic Planning, you will lead a team of Digital Sales Planners and support programmatic revenue across NBCU’s (video) streaming portfolio. You'll work closely with Sales, Planning, Ad Operations, Account Management, Inventory, and other teams and will serve as a key programmatic resource. Strong people management, programmatic knowledge.

Strong ability to cross-collaborate across teams is critical to success in this role.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Programmatic Planning, you will oversee proposal development, pricing and packaging, campaign management, and team performance across Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) and Private Marketplace (PMP) business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Digital Sales Planners, providing guidance on plan building, rate approvals, campaign setup and execution, workload, and professional development.
  • Manage account assignments and balance workload across the team based on priority and volume.
  • Set clear planning and execution standards and keep the team informed on new products, workflows, and marketplace changes.
  • Work closely with Sales, Planning, Ad Operations, Account Management, Inventory, Product, and other teams to keep Programmatic and Direct teams aligned.
  • Serve as the programmatic subject matter expert for PG and PMP pricing and packaging, including inventory, targeting, and delivery.
  • Oversee PG campaign stewardship in partnership with Sales, Ad Operations, Account Management, and Inventory.
  • Monitor programmatic revenue and campaign delivery, flag risks early, and recommend ways to improve delivery and protect revenue.
  • Ensure PG/PMP deals are priced appropriately based on agency/advertiser agreements, inventory availability, and market conditions.
  • Review pre-sale and post-sale workflows and improve processes to make execution more accurate and efficient.
  • Manage escalations and work with Sales/Planning leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve client issues quickly.
  • Work closely with Account Managers and Digital Sales Planners to keep the revenue pipeline accurate and identify recurring execution issues.
  • Support agency and client conversations when programmatic expertise is needed and help identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Partner with Planning leadership on broader programmatic priorities and the rollout of new products and workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of digital advertising experience, including 2+ years in programmatic advertising and/or streaming video; experience in media planning, client services, campaign management, or ad operations preferred.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing others.
  • Strong knowledge of the digital ad sales cycle and media math, including PG/PMP deals, DSP/SSP workflows, and the CTV/streaming marketplace.
  • Working knowledge of ad serving and SSP platforms; FreeWheel experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use pacing, delivery, and revenue data to identify issues and make recommendations.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who can work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 + sales incentive compensation eligible
