About this role

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Human Resources Manager/HR Business Partner supporting the International Operations & Technology client group. Working in a highly matrixed and collaborative environment, this role will partner closely with local business leaders and colleagues across the US HR team to deliver an aligned and effective people agenda.

The HR Manager will own the employee lifecycle end to end, lead HR projects from planning through delivery, and drive local people initiatives that respond to business and employee needs. The role requires strong HR judgement, a practical and proactive approach, and experience managing employee relations matters.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective relationships, serving as a trusted adviser to International O&T leaders and employees and fostering a positive employee experience.
  • Partner collaboratively with the US HR team and wider HR specialist groups to ensure international priorities are aligned with broader O&T and enterprise people strategies.
  • Own the employee lifecycle end to end across the client group, ensuring a joined-up and consistent experience from recruitment and onboarding through development, engagement, performance and offboarding.
  • Coach leaders through people decisions, performance matters, difficult conversations and team challenges, bringing balanced judgement and practical solutions.
  • Lead the resolution of complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance and conduct issues, accommodations and sensitive employee situations, partnering with Employment Law and specialist teams as appropriate.
  • Partner with local leaders to identify people priorities and develop and drive initiatives that respond to business, workforce and employee needs.
  • Support organisational design and workforce planning, helping leaders align structure, headcount and capability with future business needs.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for open positions.
  • Lead and support talent reviews, succession planning and development actions, helping leaders identify talent strengths, gaps and priorities.
  • Provide informed support on compensation decisions and annual planning, applying consistency and an appropriate pay equity lens.
  • Own HR projects and initiatives end to end, establishing clear outcomes and plans, coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines and ensuring effective delivery and follow-through.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that strengthen the work environment, employee experience and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and company policies, maintaining current knowledge of HR best practice across relevant international markets.
  • Analyse HR metrics and workforce insights, identify trends and recommend practical actions for improvement.
  • Significant experience managing employee relations matters, with the ability to assess risk, exercise sound judgement and manage issues fairly and confidently.
  • Previous HR business partner experience supporting a dedicated client group, ideally within an international, highly matrixed organisation.
  • Proven ability to own the employee lifecycle and deliver HR projects and initiatives from planning through implementation and follow-through.
  • Solid knowledge of HR best practice and employment law, with the ability to apply principles appropriately across different international markets and engage local expertise where required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work collaboratively across local and US-based teams.
  • Proven ability to translate business and local workforce needs into practical people actions and solutions.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and insight to support decision-making.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently, operate through ambiguity and take accountability for delivery.
  • Experience working in a unionised environment would be advantageous.
