As a Platform Operations Specialist reporting to Sr. Director – Platform Operations , you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Nasdaq's trading systems and market operations. You'll be at the heart of keeping global markets running — supporting real-time operations, resolving technical issues, and partnering with clients and internal teams to deliver seamless service.

What You’ll Do
- Monitor production systems in real time, proactively identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime, stability, and optimal performance.
- Support daily market operations, including system startup and shutdown procedures, application updates, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with clients, external providers, and internal teams to resolve connectivity and technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain and improve operational documentation and procedures to drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with engineering and development teams to address operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in technical or market operations.
- 3+ years of experience in technical operations, system administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments, including administration and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- The team operates 24x7 and this role requires flexibility to work a non-standard workweek, U.S. Eastern Time hours, night shift, (9/10PM-6AM Manila) . The schedule may follow either a 5-day workweek with rotating weekdays off (Thurs-Mon, Tue & Wed off or Fri-Tue, Wed & Thurs off) or a 4-day compressed workweek , including weekend coverage, depending on business needs
Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile and DevOps ways of working.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure management.
- Relevant certifications in systems operations or infrastructure.
This position will be located in Manila, Philippines and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment with at least 2 days per week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
