As a Business Development Representative reporting to Head of Global Busines Development, you'll play a critical role in generating qualified pipeline and driving new business growth across Nasdaq's Calypso business — engaging banks, capital markets firms, asset managers, insurance companies, and treasury organisations across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa.
You'll thrive in this position if you're commercially curious, data-driven, and passionate about financial technology, and you bring a proactive, strategic approach to enterprise prospecting in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own pipeline creation targets across the assigned territory, contributing directly to regional and global growth objectives.
- Develop and execute account-based prospecting strategies to identify key stakeholders, business initiatives, and technology transformation opportunities within target financial institutions.
- Generate qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, event follow-up, and collaboration with Marketing and Partner teams.
- Leverage AI-powered sales tools and data platforms to improve account prioritisation, prospect research, and outreach personalisation.
- Partner with Account Executives, Marketing, and Solution Consultants to execute coordinated account plans and drive pipeline progression.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or enterprise pipeline generation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders within financial institutions.
- Proven ability to research, qualify, and develop opportunities within complex enterprise organisations.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales engagement platforms such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial technology, capital markets, treasury, risk management, or enterprise SaaS.
- Familiarity with account-based marketing or selling strategies, and intelligence platforms such as 6sense or Cognism.
- Experience leveraging generative AI and automation tools to improve research, personalisation, and prospect engagement.
This position will be located in London and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
