Overview The Trust Experience and Compliance (TEC) team's mission is to make Windows the most trusted platform for business and life. Within TEC, the Windows Compliance Platform team is redefining what compliance means for Windows, Microsoft, and our customers. Our vision is simple: make compliance happen seamlessly.

We are building innovative, AI-powered and agentic solutions that integrate directly into engineering workflows, eliminating compliance toil and enabling teams to build trusted products by default. This role offers a unique opportunity to reimagine data governance for the AI era, creating intelligent systems that understand intent and deliver the right levels of access, control, and transparency at scale.

As a member of this team, you will be at the forefront of driving trusted experiences across Windows and beyond. You will lead and orchestrate efforts spanning multiple regulatory, governance, and compliance domains while influencing strategy across engineering, legal, policy, and business teams.

Leveraging TEC's unique vantage point, you will help determine which tools, platforms, services, and technologies should be built, adopted, transformed, or retired to meet evolving business needs and customer expectations.

We are looking for an Senior Product Manager who combines strategic vision with solid execution. AI is central to our mission, and we need someone who can craft and execute compliance and data strategy boldly infused with AI to transform how compliance is managed across Microsoft. You will help define the future of trusted systems by reinventing how organizations govern data, manage risk, and demonstrate compliance.

The regulatory landscape continues to expand, and traditional approaches to compliance are becoming increasingly costly and unsustainable. New solutions are required. Our team is tackling one of Microsoft's most significant enterprise challenges while creating value for customers facing the same pressures.

Success in this role requires exceptional cross-team collaboration, technical depth, influence, communication skills, and a proactive mindset for solving complex problems on a scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data access platform for Windows, build strategies, and solve real, quantitative challenges in a measurable fashion.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders, customers, and peers

Analyzes data, examines trends, and takes a customer first approach to address problems.

  • Identify, architect, and deliver innovative solutions that will eliminate unnecessary compliance cost to engineering.
  • Drive cross-company partnerships with data platform, telemetry, and storage teams to shape forward-looking strategy, align priorities and investments, and enable joint execution.
  • Leverage AI to build PoC’s, work with engineering to achieve joint outcomes, and lead feature teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Data Governance, identity, and access management is a plus.
  • Excels at influencing without authority.
  • Comfortable diving deep into complex architectural landscapes and ability to quickly understand technical and programmatic concepts, flows, and design.
  • 4+ Years in a Product Management or Engineering role.
  • Demonstrated customer listening and requirement gathering skills.
  • Craft specs, work with engineering, and drive for results.
  • Approach all work with a growth mindset, customer obsession, and relentless curiosity.
  • Lead cross-functional v-teams to desired outcomes.
  • Ability to identify technical needs and gaps and clearly articulate and prioritize for program stakeholders.
  • Solid written and verbal skills.
  • Expertise in applied AI models, using AI to drive innovation, transformation, and execution at scale.
  • Experience building, shipping, and iterating on customer facing experiences.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U. S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
