We are seeking a Global Partner Development Manager (GPDM) to lead business growth and transformation for one of Microsoft's most strategic Scale Solution Partners.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping global growth strategy, influencing executive decision-makers, and driving measurable business outcomes across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
As the global owner of the Microsoft-partner business, you will accelerate partner-led growth across AI, Security, Copilot, Cloud, and future frontier technologies while strengthening Microsoft's position as the partner's preferred strategic platform.
The successful candidate combines executive presence, commercial acumen, ecosystem leadership, and operational excellence to build lasting advantage and deliver predictable growth through one of the world's largest technology partner ecosystems.
Responsibilities
Own the Global Partner Business
- Define and execute a multi-year growth strategy for a strategic global partner.
- Develop and govern a worldwide business plan aligned to Microsoft's growth priorities.
- Drive partner-led revenue, market expansion, profitability, and investment outcomes.
- Translate strategic vision into measurable business impact across regions, customer segments, and solution areas.
Build Executive Partnerships
- Serve as Microsoft's primary executive sponsor and strategic advisor to partner leadership.
- Develop trusted relationships with C-suite decision-makers and influential stakeholders.
- Influence long-term business strategy, investment priorities, and transformation initiatives.
- Lead executive-to-executive engagement that strengthens mutual commitment and business value.
Accelerate AI and Cloud Growth
- Drive growth across Microsoft's AI, Security, Copilot, Modern Work, and Cloud portfolios.
- Drive exponential growth in Net Paid seat adds (NPSA) across the portfolio for AI business solutions and AI Workforce winning every AI socket with our joint cutomers
- Expand Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) adoption, profitability, and customer acquisition.
- Enable partners to create differentiated offerings, build new capabilities, and deliver customer transformation at scale.
Drive Operational Excellence and Precision Execution
- Lead a global cross-functional team across sales, technical, marketing, and partner organizations.
- Establish a disciplined operating cadence that drives accountability, forecasting accuracy, and execution consistency.
- Ensure investments, incentives, readiness, and go-to-market motions translate into measurable business outcomes.
- Create alignment across global, regional, and local teams to deliver one strategy and one growth agenda.
Shape the Future of the Ecosystem
- Identify emerging market opportunities and industry trends.
- Champion innovation, co-creation, and new routes to market.
- Influence partner business transformation and capability development.
- Help define the next generation of partner-led growth in the era of AI.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 8+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements

Additional or Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND 10+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in strategic partnerships, alliance management, channel leadership, business development, consulting, or enterprise sales.
- Proven success owning growth strategy, business performance, and transformational business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage C-suite executives within large, global organizations.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than direct authority.
- Solid strategic, financial, and commercial acumen, including business planning, forecasting, and investment management.
- Experience within cloud, AI, cybersecurity, enterprise software, digital transformation, or related technology industries.
- Experience leading global ecosystem, channel, alliance, or Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partnerships.
- Deep understanding of AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, Copilot, and modern workplace solutions.
- Experience developing and executing worldwide growth strategies across multiple geographies.
Partner Development Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U. S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.
