Responsibilities

  • Calendar Management and Meeting Logistics Provides highly strategic calendar management (e.g., high profile, high risk, large-scale impact) based on deep knowledge of business and executive needs, while upholding the highest degree of integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Uses discretion to make independent decisions to prioritizer meetings and urgent escalations.
  • Uses executive maturity and judgement to lead/own multiple decision making processes, in close partnership with stakeholders and peers.
  • Proactively adapts to shifting priorities while representing senior leader.
  • Travel Management- Works with Executive Travel to coordinate travel arrangements.
  • People Management Delivers success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
  • Model - Live our culture; Embody our values; Practice our leadership principles.
  • Coach - Define team objectives and outcomes; Enable success across boundaries; Help the team adapt and learn.

Mentors Business

Support professionals. Onboards and trains new Business Support staff. Contributes to their organization's culture as a leader.

Driving the recruiting process for Business Support roles. Supports team building, networking opportunities, and works to uphold morale.

Leadership & Communication

Leads by example and serves as a role model to Business Support colleagues by maintaining a positive attitude, demonstrating executive presence, influencing others, and encouraging self-reflection during challenging situations. Navigates with executive maturity and calmness in challenging situations. Uses executive maturity to escalate issues, proactively ensuring teams' effectiveness and consistency.

Engages with the Business Support community, keeping a pulse to enable growth across the discipline. Embodies our culture and values. Strengthens their network across organizations to enable their team and leader's work.

Proactively drives communication and liaises between executives, central teams, and other business partners to share information and best practices that drive efficiency. Uses executive maturity and independent judgment, discretion, business insights, and perspectives to direct and prepare staff to distribute information to their teams and/or supported leaders.

Communicates with executive maturity to external partners/audiences and third parties. Represents and acts as extension of manager's/team's brand and Microsoft's core values.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and administration work for executive/upper level management.

Other Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training).
  • 4+ years experience serving as mentor or direct/indirect (e.g., team leader) supervisor to others.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology) OR equivalent experience.

Business Support ATR-D - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $31.49 - $51.97 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $42.93 - $59.33 per hour.
