AI Product Manager ----------------------

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary

We are seeking a technically oriented AI Product Manager to support the day-to-day delivery and operations of a business-critical enterprise application supporting cloud infrastructure and capacity deployment.

This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and product leadership to translate business needs into actionable product requirements and ensure features and operational improvements move successfully from requirements through development, testing, release, and production support.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on ownership across business analysis, functional requirements, backlog management, testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production issue triage, incident coordination, and release communications. This position requires a strong technical foundation, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working across the end-to-end software development lifecycle.

This is an onsite position in Redmond, WA, operating Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and actionable specifications for engineering teams.
  • Manage feature requests and operational improvements throughout the software delivery lifecycle, including requirements, backlog tracking, development coordination, validation, UAT, sign-off, and production release.
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlogs using Azure DevOps or similar work-item management platforms.
  • Coordinate with software development teams to clarify requirements, track delivery progress, resolve blockers, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Perform initial functional validation of new capabilities and enhancements in sandbox or test environments before business UAT.
  • Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing, including test readiness, stakeholder participation, issue tracking, feedback documentation, and business sign-off.
  • Provide day-to-day support for enterprise application users by triaging questions, investigating issues, coordinating troubleshooting, and driving problems through resolution.
  • Monitor and coordinate production incidents, maintaining clear ownership, status communications, action tracking, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Support production deployments and prepare clear release communications to ensure business users understand newly delivered capabilities and changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of requirements, backlog items, issues, decisions, risks, owners, and outstanding action items.
  • Prepare for recurring business reviews by developing status information, tracking commitments, documenting decisions, and following up on open actions.
  • Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product operations, delivery processes, documentation, testing, and overall user experience.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in technical product management, technical program management, business analysis, software delivery, enterprise application support, or a related technical discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field required.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through development, testing, UAT, deployment, and production support.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Experience managing feature requests, enhancements, or operational work through a software delivery lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including issue tracking and business sign-off.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications and triaging business-user or production issues.
  • Experience coordinating with engineering teams on incident investigation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or similar backlog, work-item, or software delivery management tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and engineering organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate requirements, issues, risks, decisions, and release information.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and open action items.
  • Ability to learn complex business processes quickly and translate them into actionable product or technical requirements.
  • Experience with incident-management systems and structured production support processes is preferred.
  • Cloud infrastructure, capacity management, or supply chain experience is preferred.
  • PMP, PMI, or related project/program management certification is preferred.
