Software Engineer, Audio SWE

Responsibilities

• R&D in the areas of general audio processing/framework, audio codecs, and network related loss/jitter compensation to deliver high-quality quality across the family of apps
• Identify areas of scalability, performance, quality and reliability improvement across the stack
• Collaborate closely with both product and research teams to deploy new audio technologies as-a-service and as-a-platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years software development experience in industry settings
• 3+ years in relevant audio software engineering experience including audio software for video conferencing or other real-time communication applications
• C or C++ experience, including use of C++11/14/17 features
• Demonstrated communication skills and experience working across disciplines to drive optimal solutions and supporting cross functional teams Experience in audio signal processing and auditory perception, both classical and machine learned techniques
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Proven track record of innovation as demonstrated by products shipped, publications and/or patents
• Experience with audio stack including codecs, audio capture/render, and network compensation/jitter buffer
• Experience with GenAI
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
