The Role and Impact As a Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer , you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing manufacturing operations for Intel's cutting-edge fabrication facilities. You will analyze, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.
Through your contributions to process improvements, equipment performance, and data-driven decision-making, you will directly impact product quality and factory performance, supporting Intel's leadership in semiconductor innovation.

The PGAT MFG MSE group focuses on delivering operational solutions for technology development and high-volume fabrication facilities, ensuring seamless product introduction, optimized processes, and sustained manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and sustain manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions for process deviations.
- Provide technical support for new product introduction (NPI) builds and optimize manufacturing workflows throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure their efficiency and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Leverage data-driven methodologies to analyze factory operations, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement improvements to enhance overall factory performance.
- Collaborate with factory operations teams, engineering groups, and automation stakeholders to develop and scale manufacturing strategies for key product roadmaps.
- Define manufacturing requirements and develop detailed plans to ensure the successful execution of product design, process, and build specifications.
- Support the development and implementation of manufacturing decision support tools and methodologies to enable efficient production.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation to aid in product design, configuration, and operational processes.
- Partner with supply chain engineers to assess manufacturing technologies and build a robust supply chain that supports production goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field, with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training OR a Masters degree in a relevant field with no prior professional experience.
- Foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with manufacturing metrics tracking.
- Basic understanding of automation systems and manufacturing equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and process optimization.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts and operational strategies.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to innovative technologies and methods.
- Experience in manufacturing process control, inventory management, quality systems, and risk assessment, with strong knowledge of CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure operational excellence and process integrity.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing systems integration, factory automation, MES/database interfaces, and system security management, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and enhance manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and production continuity.
