The Role and Impact As a Logistics Operations Manager Transportation, you will oversee and drive logistics operations across one or more categories, ensuring seamless execution of inbound, interplant, and outbound material flows. You will play a vital role in monitoring performance metrics, resolving escalations, and implementing continuous improvements to optimize logistics processes.

Your contributions will strengthen Intel's operational capabilities, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of products to customers globally.

Business group The Logistics Operations Manager role falls within Intel's Supply Chain organization, which focuses on ensuring the efficient movement of materials, equipment, and finished goods to support the manufacturing process and customer delivery.

This team drives operational excellence through innovation, process optimization, and supplier collaboration, contributing to Intel's mission of delivering world-class products to customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage logistics operations for inbound, interplant, and outbound materials, equipment, and finished goods.
  • Provide dock operations ownership to support site start-up, ramp, and steady-state logistics execution.
  • Monitor and drive performance against logistics KPIs, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
  • Analyze logistics processes and data to identify inefficiencies, defects, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Track, escalate, and resolve shipping, warehouse, carrier, and execution exceptions to ensure continuity of deliveries.
  • Manage critical logistics escalations, minimizing impact to operations and customer service.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams and external logistics providers to ensure seamless execution.
  • Utilize analytical and digital tools to develop logistics solutions that optimize cost, speed, quality, and reliability.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders on schedule, scope, cost, risk, and execution readiness.
  • This position also plays a significant role in preparing for the ongoing Assembly Test and Wafer Sort factory operations startup.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in logistics operations or third-party logistics (3PL) management with a proven ability to operate independently in dynamic conditions.
  • Proficiency in SAP/Transportation Management Systems (TMS), 4PL and 3PL freight supplier management, and performance metric tracking, with demonstrated capability to self-identify issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation operations, compliance protocols, and supplier governance, with a track record of owning execution end-to-end.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis to drive operational improvements and informed decision-making.
  • Expertise in transportation management systems and logistics management software.
  • Minimum basic knowledge in Malaysian Customs processes, procedures and operations, including clear understanding on the local and federal regulations and compliance.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing logistics escalations and driving operational improvements across global teams.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes effectively.
