The Role and Impact:

As a GPU Design Verification Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the reliability and performance of graphics logic components, including 3D graphics and media. You will play a vital role in developing verification plans, test benches, and system simulation models to validate designs and uncover potential bugs.

Collaborating closely with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams, your contributions will directly impact the quality and efficiency of Intel's cutting-edge GPU technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and reusable IP verification plans and test benches to ensure compliance with graphics microarchitecture specifications.
  • Execute system simulation models to analyze power, timing, and functionality while identifying and resolving bugs.
  • Debug issues in presilicon environments, root cause failures, and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with GPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve verification methodologies and ensure alignment with functional and performance goals.
  • Document verification plans, drive technical reviews, and maintain the functional verification infrastructure.
  • Participate in defining verification infrastructure and methodologies for complex architectural and microarchitectural features.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems) with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in domain-specific areas such as functional verification, VLSI design, or testing. Skills can be demonstrated through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
  • Proficiency in RTL Design using Verilog/VHDL and UVM concepts, including developing testbench sequences, drivers, and scoreboards.
  • Strong foundation in digital electronics, embedded systems, computer architecture, and microcontroller/microprocessor fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages, including Python, Perl, or Ruby.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, debugging, and technical analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with verifying functionalities of Media IPs (e.g., Video codecs - HEVC, AVC, AV1).
  • Experience in memory Fabric validation and GPU sub-IPs.
  • Understanding of media industry trends and technologies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to drive collaboration across technical teams.
