The role supports partners with end-to-end solution design, technical validation, competitive positioning, and customer engagement.
The Inside Channel/Partner Systems Engineer will develop the technical capabilities and business potential of HPE Networking by providing scalable, inside technical sales support that helps smaller partners expand their expertise, pursue new opportunities, and become more self-sufficient in positioning and delivering HPE Networking solutions.
Location
This is a teleworker position within the US that will work mostly on West Coast hours.
Key responsibilities include:
o Develop the technical competency and sales readiness of smaller partners.
o Provide remote technical presales support throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
o Help partners qualify opportunities early so they spend their time on deals they can win.
o Assist with discovery, architecture, product selection, sizing, and configuration.
o Review solution designs, bills of materials, and technical proposals.
o Teach partners how to build their own bills of materials, configurations, and reference designs so they can size and quote solutions with confidence.
o Answer partner questions on SKUs, licensing, and ordering, and help arrange access to remote demo and lab environments.
o Deliver webinars, demonstrations, workshops, office hours, and enablement sessions.
o Help partners position HPE Networking against competitive solutions.
o Support customer presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
o Identify partner capability gaps and recommend training and certification paths.
o Develop reusable technical resources, reference designs, and best practices.
o Connect partners with distribution and internal HPE resources when additional assistance is required.
o Work closely with Partner Account Managers to plan enablement, prioritize partners, and move opportunities forward.
o Help partners engage TAC and escalate technical issues when a deal or deployment needs extra support.
o Increase partner independence and their ability to originate and close opportunities.
o Identify high-potential partners for deeper development and investment.
o Engage primarily through phone, video, digital collaboration, webinars, and other scalable programs, allowing the role to support a broad partner community.
o Apply subject-matter expertise to resolve common and occasionally complex partner and technical challenges. Evaluate partner and customer requirements, recommend appropriate solutions or alternatives, and use independent judgment in determining the best approach.
o Lead partner development initiatives, technical enablement programs, or opportunity-focused projects as needed. Collaborate with channel sales, distribution, product specialists, and other internal teams to expand partner capabilities, generate pipeline, accelerate opportunities, and help smaller partners grow their HPE Networking practices.
o Stay current on the HPE Networking portfolio and on industry trends such as AI-driven operations, automation, and cloud-managed networking.
