Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Java, C/C++.
- Experience with consumer electronics, mobile devices or wearable devices design.
- Knowledge of hardware architecture.
- Understanding of embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
- Understanding of audio processing.

Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Be responsible for design and development of audio experiences on Pixel devices, integrating novel audio technology and models.
- Work on features at the AI and human speech and audio interface.
- Work closely with Audio Research and other technology partner teams to integrate their offerings on Pixel phones.
- Implement experiences and features, working with codebases throughout the stack from embedded to high level OS application.
- Deliver performant solutions in highly constrained embedded compute environments, respecting power, performance, latency and user-experience tradeoffs.
