About this role

Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.

FWD People is a full-service strategic marketing agency delivering meaningful and measurable results in the health and non-profit sectors. We take pride in being our clients' trusted strategic partner — staying ahead of the curve, and leveraging our expertise and foresight to help them navigate change and seize opportunities.

We approach every challenge with a commitment to innovation, excellence, and empathy, and we seek the same qualities in our leaders. As a fast-growing, senior team, we're excited to welcome more forward-thinking individuals who will help us drive growth, foster positive change within our client's industries, and have fun along the way.

As an Account Manager, Animal Health, you will work hand in hand with clients and internal project teams to cultivate and strengthen relationships by providing outstanding agency service and effective project management. You will manage timelines, internal reviews, and regulatory processes, while deepening your understanding of brand strategy, veterinary/scientific context, and animal health marketing.

You will run smaller initiatives independently and partner closely with (Associate) Account Directors on more complex programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide support across multiple accounts by stewarding projects internally and externally, ensuring a successful execution and delivery on numerous fast-paced projects.
  • Act as a supporting point of contact for clients, responding promptly and communicating proactively to ensure their needs are met.
  • Drive project management across projects by managing timelines, team deliverables, budgets, and staffing plans, while proactively addressing any issues that arise.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams to deliver high-quality assets and deliverables.
  • Establish strong relationships and an in-depth understanding of our clients and their industries, client competitors' strategies, and market conditions, and leverage this understanding to guide internal team efforts in collaboration with clients.
  • Support the team with quality control by reviewing all assets before sharing with clients and/or partners to ensure they meet brand standards, client expectations, and quality benchmarks, always maintaining a high standard of excellence.
  • Become a specialist in our clients' Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review processes, ensuring clean submissions with previous learnings applied.
  • Support business development by seeking out new opportunities and areas for organic growth within your accounts, and contribute to developing proposals and new business pitches.
  • Contribute to agency best practice codification including process development and improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar agency account and project management role, with a proven track record of collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Foundational understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech or healthcare marketing and regulatory (MLR/FDA) environments.
  • A natural collaborator who drives and inspires internal teams to successfully deliver multiple high-value, fast-paced projects and ensures client goals are met with excellence and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, grow, and extend meaningful client relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to business development initiatives.
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills across all mediums, internally and externally.
  • Excitement about growing new skill sets and leading new types of projects.
  • Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and collaborative nature; able to adapt, think on your feet, and communicate proactively.
  • Comfortable working in a fluid environment utilizing soft skills: listening, collaborating, negotiating, and decision-making.
