The role requires adaptability, sound judgement on when to escalate, and the ability to work across different legal systems and languages.

As an International Junior Legal Counsel, you will assist in managing legal matters related to our global subsidiary entities as we continue to grow organically and through M&A, including:

  • Advise internal teams and triage requests. Serve as a first point of contact for internal legal queries; provide clear, practical advice on straightforward matters using approved guidance, playbooks and precedent, and identify and escalate more complex or high-risk matters to senior counsel with a recommended course of action.

  • Negotiate and draft contracts, including in German . • Track matters and coordinate stakeholder engagement. Maintain trackers and dashboards reflecting the lifecycle status of contracts, renewals and corporate filings across multiple jurisdictions, and alert stakeholders to upcoming deadlines and required actions; engage with internal stakeholders across jurisdictions to gather facts, documents and timelines for legal matters and projects, and follow up on outstanding information to keep matters on schedule.
  • Provide practical legal input to commercial and operational teams . Respond to day-to-day legal queries from commercial, finance and operational stakeholders; explain legal concepts in clear business language, and route matters requiring senior input to the appropriate lawyer.
  • Conduct legal research and pr oduce practical advice. Perform legal research on statutes, regulations, case law and industry guidance relevant to ongoing matters; identify risks and key developments, and translate findings into clear, structured advice for internal stakeholders and senior counsel, including issue framing, citations and practical implications for the business.
  • Improve contract templates and playbooks. Identify opportunities to improve contract templates, clause libraries and negotiation playbooks; propose process improvements that reduce turnaround time and improve consistency across jurisdictions.
  • Provide corporate governance support. Assist with maintaining corporate records and statutory registers across multiple jurisdictions, preparing routine resolutions and filings, organizing board materials, and ensuring governance documents are accurate, up to date, and properly stored. Assist with annual compliance tasks under attorney supervision. Assist with responding to KYC and due‑diligence requests by preparing corporate information packs, coordinating cross‑functional input, and ensuring accurate, timely submissions.

To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a lawyer, ideally in commercial or corporate legal practice, at an international in-house team and/or at a law firm.
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and redlining contracts, including NDAs, commercial agreements and other legal documents, in both English and German.
  • Business fluency in German, with the ability to advise, negotiate and draft in German as well as English.
  • Strong project‑management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of contracts and contribute to strategic legal initiatives.
  • Demonstrated capability conducting legal research and translating findings into clear, practical advice for internal stakeholders.
