About this role

Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.

Wildfires are a $20 trillion crisis. Earth Force is building the technology that dramatically increases the pace and scale of fuels reduction and forest thinning—creating resilient forests and protecting people and communities from the devastating effects of wildfire.

We develop integrated computer vision systems—hardware through UI—deployed on forestry machines operating in remote forest environments. Our platform measures trees in real time, automates production reporting, and enables precision silviculture at a scale the industry has never seen. We work primarily with the U.

S. Forest Service and their implementation partners under multi-year program agreements.

We’re commercially deployed and approaching scale. Our next season of growth will deliver on the capabilities our tech has developed, broadening the trust we've built with our partners to serve those working to protect land from catastrophic wildfire.

About the Role

Earth Force exists to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires through technology, data, and operational excellence. As we continue to grow and scale our impact, we are seeking a Director of Corporate Development to help drive the company’s most important strategic, financial, and capital formation initiatives.

This role will partner closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and Board of Directors to support capital strategy, strategic finance, business intelligence, and high-priority corporate development opportunities.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial and strategic judgment with intellectual curiosity and the ability to investigate complex opportunities, develop clear recommendations, and help drive them through execution.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate development, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, investing, or similar roles.
  • Experience interfacing directly with Boards of Directors, institutional investors, and senior executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with capital formation, fundraising, or complex financing transactions, including evaluating creative and non-traditional sources of capital.
  • Strong strategic finance capabilities, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, long-range planning, capital allocation, and investment evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently investigate new markets, technologies, R&D or laboratory initiatives, partnerships, and other strategic opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to connect operational, financial, and strategic considerations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including experience creating Board, investor, and executive-level materials.

Preferred

  • Experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, corporate development, or a similarly rigorous financial environment.
  • Experience supporting significant capital raises, ideally across multiple financing structures.
  • Experience with project finance, structured capital, government funding, strategic investment, or other non-traditional capital sources.
  • Experience supporting M&A, partnerships, new business opportunities, or other corporate development initiatives.
  • Experience in a high-growth, investor-backed company environment.
  • Exposure to climate, forestry, infrastructure, energy, construction, industrial services, or other asset-intensive industries.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous, high-stakes business problems, developing creative approaches to capital and growth, and serving as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, CFO, Board, and investors.
