What You'll Actually Do

  • Lead hands-on group activities that support learning, confidence, and independence
  • Teach and reinforce practical life skills, social skills, communication, and choice-making
  • Support community outings, volunteer activities, and recreational experiences
  • Encourage and coach individuals as they work toward personal goals
  • Provide personal care, including restroom, hygiene, eating, and mobility support
  • Provide behavioral support and use trained de-escalation techniques when needed
  • Follow individualized service and behavior support plans
  • Drive company vehicles for outings and community activities
  • Complete accurate electronic documentation related to goals, progress, and daily activities
  • Prepare, clean, and reset program areas and work closely with your team to maintain a safe and supportive environment

Your Experience Matters

We're looking for candidates who already have some hands-on experience supporting adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Relevant experience may include work as a DSP, Behavior Technician/RBT, paraprofessional, respite provider, job coach, community support professional, or similar human services role.

What You'll Need

  • At least 6 months of experience supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company van
  • Experience with direct support, personal care, behavioral support, or skill development
  • Dependable, adaptable, proactive, patient, and engaged
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in an active, changing environment

Experience in an adult day program, group home, behavioral program, or community-based setting is a plus.
