About this role

Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence . As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role

As the Staff Product Manager for Bare Metal, you'll own the strategy and outcomes for a brand-new initiative at Crusoe: our bare metal offering, giving AI-native companies direct GPU and CPU access to power the world's most demanding training and inference workloads. This is a role at the intersection of hardware and software, spanning compute, networking, observability, and management.

You will be defining the problem space as much as solving it. You should be genuinely comfortable operating in ambiguity, though you won't be doing it alone: you'll have support from senior leadership to help clean up open questions as the initiative takes shape.

This role blends Product Management, Solutions Architecture and Process Design. You will need technical depth spanning across the hardware, firmware and operating system layers (e. g.

BMC — Baseboard Management Controller, secure boot) as well as the process rigor to design how the product behaves operationally.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Roadmap Ownership: Drive the vision for bare metal compute, encompassing GPU/CPU offerings, rapid provisioning systems, and full lifecycle management.
  • Process & Operational Design: Define the end-to-end customer experience when something goes wrong — the ticketing workflow, escalation paths, and process behind it — in close partnership with Infrastructure Operations and Customer Support.
  • Outcome Management: Ensure tight alignment between hardware and software layers to deliver a differentiated bare metal experience.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead initiatives across engineering and infra-ops to deliver provisioning, enhanced observability, and customer self-service capabilities.
  • Customer & Market Synthesis: Partner with Sales and GTM teams to transform customer feedback into roadmap priorities, ensuring deep product-market fit.
  • Executive Representation: Represent the bare metal strategy to partners and internal executives, framing technical infrastructure decisions within a clear business context and treating this portfolio like a business you're accountable for.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Infrastructure Leadership: 10+ years of experience in cloud and computing technology, including 4+ years in product management focused on infrastructure or platform products, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives through ambiguity.
  • Hardware Depth: Direct experience at the hardware and firmware level, you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to have worked at that layer.
  • Process Orientation: A demonstrated ability to design and formalize operational processes (support workflows, ticketing, incident handling) for a technical product
  • Deep Compute & Operational Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of server hardware, bare metal provisioning, distributed systems, networking, and large-scale fleet operations.
  • Strategic Decision Making: Proven ability to navigate ambiguous, ill-defined problem spaces and drive long-term vision while balancing technical constraints and business outcomes
  • Communication Mastery: The ability to articulate deep technical complexity to executive audiences and translate business goals into clear product direction.

Bonus Points

  • Hyperscale/Cloud Operations: Experience with large-scale GPU/CPU AI infrastructure platforms or clouds.
  • Technical Tooling: Familiarity with IPMI/BMC protocols, infrastructure automation tools, or bare metal provisioning frameworks.
  • AI/ML Domain Knowledge: An understanding of GPU-based AI workloads and their specific demands on compute and network infrastructure.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages
  • Restricted Stock Units
  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs
  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
  • Employer contributions to HSA account
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
  • Professional development & tuition reimbursement
  • Mental health & wellness support
  • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)

Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $215,000-$260,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
