We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert - Electrical to join our team in Gqeberha, South Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance and support for our electrical systems and projects.
- Design and develop electrical systems and controls for industrial applications
- Analyze complex electrical engineering problems and provide innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize electrical system performance
- Conduct technical reviews and provide expert advice on electrical engineering projects
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for electrical systems and processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies and industry trends
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers and technicians
- Participate in project planning and execution to ensure electrical system requirements are met
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems
- Expertise in automation technologies
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
