About us

Coalition is the world's first Active Insurance provider designed to help prevent digital risk before it strikes. Founded in 2017, Coalition combines comprehensive insurance coverage and innovative cybersecurity tools to help businesses manage and mitigate potential cyberattacks.

Opportunities to make an impact with bold thinking are real—and happening daily at Coalition.

About the role

As Marketing Data Analyst, you will own the analytical point of view on marketing performance across Coalition's insurance and security businesses. You will connect data from across the marketing and sales stack, explain what is driving results, and bring marketing leadership recommendations that change what we do next. This role is weighted toward insight over reporting.

Dashboards matter and you will keep them healthy, but the true value you’re going to bring is analysis and the judgment behind it. You will partner closely with marketing operations, sales operations, data engineering, data science, and marketing leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Funnel & Campaign Analysis: Run end-to-end analysis across both the insurance and security businesses, from awareness and demand capture through intent, pipeline, and closed revenue. The two funnels behave differently and you will need to understand each, including the go to market motions that go into them so you can identify where the funnel is leaking, which channels are carrying weight, and what should change.
  • Insights & Recommendations: Get past simple metrics to the insight. Bring campaign managers, growth leads, and marketing leadership data-backed recommendations they can act on. That includes calls on what to repeat, what to cut, and where to move our collective marketing efforts.
  • Data Synthesis: Pull together CRM, marketing automation, ad platform, web analytics, and sales engagement data to answer questions no existing dashboard can. Often, data arrives messy, from sources that don’t join cleanly. You should be able to reach an answer on your own, and to escalate upstream data issues to Data Engineering, Data Science, or Sales Operations when the fix belongs there.
  • Measurement Framework Design: Establish how we goal, measure, and optimize areas of marketing investment that do not yet have a consistent standard. Help define the metrics, set the benchmarks, and get marketing and sales agreeing on the definitions and what matters.
  • Executive Reviews: Own the analytical narrative for the monthly CMO Data Review and the quarterly Marketing and GTM QBRs. You help decide what the story is and surface what leadership needs to see.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Design and maintain performance dashboards for weekly, monthly, and quarterly stakeholder reporting. Keep metric definitions and tracking integrity sound so the numbers hold up under scrutiny. Build toward self-service so teams can answer routine questions without you.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison connecting Marketing with Data Engineering, Data Science, and Sales Operations to ensure data alignment, tracking integrity, and cohesive reporting.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing analytics
  • BI Tools: Experience with Looker
  • Modern Tooling: Active usage and understanding of Salesforce, Marketo, Outreach, Chillipiper, Google Analytics, and Ad Platforms.
  • Funnel Mastery: Deep understanding of B2B marketing funnels, attribution concepts, and performance metrics (CAC, LTV, conversion rates, pipeline velocity).
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to verbally and visually communicate complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
