The team partners with regional Sales and Services organisations and Business Entities to deliver financial reporting, performance analysis, forecasting, planning, and business insights. By providing timely, accurate, and consistent financial information, the team enables business leaders to make informed decisions, manage expenses, and drive business performance.

Your Impact

As a Financial Analyst, you will support the APJC Sales Finance team by delivering financial reporting, analytical insights, and planning support. You will work closely with business finance partners to monitor financial performance, analyse key business metrics, support expense management, and provide reliable data for forecasting and decision-making.

You will contribute to improving reporting accuracy, strengthening financial processes, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through advanced Excel capabilities, financial modelling, and automation.

What You’ll Do

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports, business metrics, analyses, and models to support the APJC Sales Finance team and overall business processes.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Provide timely, accurate, and consistent financial information to support budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and management decision-making.
  • Financial Performance Management: Analyse bookings, revenue, margins, organisational expenses, and headcount (HC) to track business performance and identify trends or variances.
  • Operating Expense Management: Support OPEX management through purchase requisition (PR) approvals, expense tracking, accruals, and related financial activities across assigned regions and Business Entities.
  • Business Finance Partnership: Act as the primary finance contact for designated business finance partners, providing timely reporting, analysis, and financial guidance.
  • Decision Support & Business Insights: Partner with the business finance team to understand underlying business performance, identify key drivers, and deliver actionable analytical insights.
  • Month-End & Financial Processes: Support month-end accounting activities, periodic performance reviews, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and improve efficiency using advanced Excel, macros, automated models, database connectivity, and analytical tools.

Who You’ll

Work With

You will be part of Cisco’s Global FP&A Center of Excellence in Bangalore, supporting the regional APJC Sales Finance team.

You will collaborate with business finance partners, regional Sales and Services teams, Business Entity stakeholders, and cross-functional finance teams to support financial planning, performance reporting, forecasting, and expense management.

Who You Are

  • You are an analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented finance professional with a strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and business performance metrics.
  • You can work with large datasets, translate financial information into meaningful insights, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.
  • You demonstrate strong business partnering skills, personal integrity, accountability, and a forward-thinking approach.
  • You are comfortable managing competing priorities, working collaboratively across functions, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes through technology and automation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with a CA or CMA.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, accounting, or business finance.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including periodic performance reporting, OPEX budgeting and planning, forecasting, and month-end accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse large datasets and develop financial reports, models, and analyses.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems skills, with the ability to identify financial trends, investigate variances, and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder partnering, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple organisational levels and functions.
  • Demonstrated personal integrity, accountability, proactive thinking, and a results-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a large multinational organisation, preferably in a global or regional finance environment.
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting and analytical systems such as BusinessObjects, Essbase, or similar enterprise tools.
  • Experience with Excel macros, VBA, automated reporting models, and advanced spreadsheet-based analytics.
  • Database knowledge and experience working with large financial datasets.
  • Ability to connect Excel to external databases and automate data extraction, reporting, and analysis.
