Role Overview

Vice Presidents manage the team, the client relationship, the work and are accountable for ensuring the firm meets client expectations and firm goals. This role will sit within Jarrard’s Health Services & Technology practice and is particularly well suited for a senior communications leader with deep experience advising healthcare technology, digital health, health services or technology-enabled healthcare organizations.

Experience advising companies at the intersection of healthcare, technology and innovation is highly valued. Candidates should bring familiarity with the evolving health technology landscape, including consumer health technologies and digital health products such as:

  • Ambient clinical documentation and AI-enabled clinical workflow tools
  • Virtual care and digital care delivery platforms
  • Remote patient monitoring and connected health technologies
  • Consumer wellness, fitness and health-tracking technologies
  • Patient engagement, navigation and digital front-door solutions
  • Medication management and adherence technologies
  • Digital behavioral health and mental health platforms
  • Fertility, women’s health and other condition-specific digital health solutions

Past work with enterprise healthcare and platform technologies is also valuable, including technologies that support health systems, providers, payers and healthcare businesses in areas such as clinical operations, revenue cycle, workforce management, data and analytics, interoperability, care management and patient engagement.

The ideal candidate does not need to be a technologist or product expert but know how to connect a technology or product story to the larger forces shaping healthcare, identify the narratives and moments that can build visibility and credibility among clinical, consumer, media, investor and other stakeholder audiences, and translate those opportunities into integrated communications strategies that support business goals.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed and executed communications strategies across the health technology lifecycle — from building executive and company thought leadership and supporting product launches to help organizations communicate the implementation and adoption of new technologies by both clinicians and patient/consumer audiences.
