About Campfire

Campfire is a next-gen core accounting platform built for modern mid-market finance teams. We’re building the future of ERP by replacing outdated systems and manual accounting processes with an AI-native platform that helps finance teams move faster and operate more efficiently.

As a Deployment Strategist, you’ll work closely with our Implementation team to help customers successfully deploy Campfire and get up and running quickly. You’ll be hands-on throughout the implementation process, working alongside experienced team members to configure the platform, prepare and migrate data, test workflows, and solve customer challenges.

This is a high-ownership role for someone early in their career who enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and learning how finance systems are implemented in the real world.

The Role

As a Deployment Strategist, you’ll be an important part of the team responsible for getting customers live on Campfire. You’ll partner closely with an Implementation Manager and take ownership of key workstreams across the deployment lifecycle.

You’ll get hands-on experience with system configuration, data migration, testing, accounting workflows, and customer delivery while building the skills to eventually lead implementations independently. Success in this role means being someone the team can rely on to take ownership of your work, stay organized, solve problems, and keep things moving.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Implementation Managers to support customer deployments from kickoff through go-live
  • Own specific implementation workstreams, keeping tasks, timelines, and deliverables on track
  • Configure Campfire based on customer accounting workflows, reporting needs, and business requirements
  • Support data migration from systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, and Oracle
  • Help validate data and identify discrepancies during migration and testing
  • Build and execute test cases across accounting workflows, integrations, and key customer scenarios
  • Work directly with customers to gather information, answer questions, and help resolve implementation needs
  • Identify issues and risks early, investigate potential solutions, and escalate when additional support is needed
  • Partner with Implementation Managers, Product, and Engineering to troubleshoot issues and keep deployments moving
  • Maintain clear documentation and ensure customer requirements and implementation details are captured accurately
  • Support go-live activities and post-launch stabilization
  • Continuously learn Campfire’s product, accounting workflows, and implementation best practices

What we're looking for

  • 1–4 years of experience in implementation, consulting, accounting systems, ERP, financial systems, or a related field
  • Experience working with or supporting software implementations, system rollouts, or technical projects
  • Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle
  • Comfort working with financial data and understanding how accounting systems and workflows fit together
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with data, configurations, and testing
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and follows issues through to resolution
  • Strong project and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and communicating clearly with different stakeholders
  • Curious and eager to learn, with the ability to ramp quickly in a fast-moving environment
  • CPA, accounting, finance, or related background is a plus

What you'll learn

  • How modern finance teams operate and how their accounting systems are structured
  • How to implement and configure an ERP from the ground up
  • Data migration, testing, integrations, and go-live processes
  • How to work directly with customers to understand requirements and solve complex problems
  • How to manage implementation workstreams and eventually lead deployments independently
