Job Description: Staff Software Engineer - Full-Stack & AI-Assisted Engineering

Modern Full-Stack Software Engineering with AI Coding Tools Proficiency & Technical Leadership

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly passionate and skilled engineer to lead and execute full-stack enterprise product engineering initiatives. This senior role requires deep full-stack engineering expertise across Java, React, and containerization technologies (Docker), combined with advanced proficiency in leveraging AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to drive engineering velocity and architectural excellence across the team.

The ideal candidate will lead development across enterprise product lines (Agile Requirements Designer, Service Virtualization, and Test Data Manager), architectural design, complex problem solving, and mentorship of engineering peers.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Architectural Leadership & Solution

Design

• Lead technical design, architecture, and feature implementation across complex, multi-component enterprise software products.
• Champion and scale AI-assisted development practices (such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) across the engineering team to maximize velocity and code quality.
• Perform deep root-cause analysis for complex system defects and architect robust, scalable fixes across backend and frontend stacks.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and UX leads to translate business requirements into technical blueprints.

2. Senior Hands-On Development & Implementation

• Architect and write scalable, highly maintainable, and robust code using Java 17+ (Spring Boot) and modern React (TypeScript).
• Design containerized microservice architectures using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration configurations.
• Build, optimize, and maintain complex RESTful APIs, asynchronous messaging, and database schemas.
• Establish advanced workflows in AI coding environments (Cursor, Claude Code) to automate refactoring, test generation, and documentation.
• Conduct high-rigor peer code reviews, ensuring strict compliance with security baselines, design patterns, and quality standards.

3. Quality Engineering & AI System Validation

• Architect end-to-end testing strategies covering unit, integration, performance, and security testing across microservices and AI-enabled modules.
• Implement automated verification pipelines for AI/ML features, ensuring correctness, accuracy, and edge-case resilience.
• Monitor enterprise application performance in production, establishing observability, logging, and automated alerting metrics.

4. Technical Mentorship & Process Innovation

• Define technical standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices for the organization.
• Mentor engineers on advanced full-stack techniques, system design, and pragmatic AI-assisted workflows.
• Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies, tools, and frameworks that deliver clear business and technical ROI.

Required Technical Expertise

Core Programming Languages & Frameworks

• Java 17+: Spring Boot 3.5+, Microservices, REST APIs, Performance Tuning
• React: TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, hooks, custom state management
• Docker & Container Orchestration: Dockerfile optimization, multi-stage builds, Kubernetes/EKS
• SQL & Data Architecture: Complex query optimization, schema design

AI Coding Tools & Workflows

• AI-Assisted Development Tools: Expert-level proficiency in Cursor IDE (agentic workflows, context windows), Claude Code CLI, GitHub Copilot.
• Prompt & Agent Workflows: Advanced prompt engineering, context orchestration, and automated agent workflows for engineering teams.

Enterprise Technology Stack

• Backend Architecture: Spring Boot, Microservices, Event-driven architecture, RESTful APIs, GraphQL
• Frontend Ecosystem: React, TypeScript, Angular (legacy maintenance/migration), Vite, Webpack
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB (NoSQL), database migration frameworks
• DevOps & CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Gradle, Maven
• Security & Compliance: Keycloak, OAuth2, JWT, PII detection, and secure coding practices

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 12+ years of hands-on software development experience in full-stack enterprise product engineering.
• Proven technical leadership track record delivering enterprise-grade software products built with Java/Spring Boot, React, and Docker.
• Mastered hands-on usage of modern AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code) in daily development workflows.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive architectural standards across engineering groups.

What You'll Be Working On

• Agile Requirements Designer (ARD): Requirements management and test automation platform.
• Service Virtualization (SV): Service virtualization and API mocking platform.
• Test Data Manager (TDM): Test data management and synthetic data generation.

Work Environment & Application Details

• Location: Hyderabad, India
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Onsite Expectation: 5 days per week
• Travel: Minimal (as needed)
