WHAT IS BOX?

Box (NYSE:BOX) is the leader in Intelligent Content Management. Our platform enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI. We help companies thrive in the new AI-first era of business.

Founded in 2005, Box simplifies work for leading global organizations, including JLL, Morgan Stanley, and Nationwide. Box is headquartered in Redwood City, CA, with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

By joining Box, you will have the unique opportunity to continue driving our platform forward. Content powers how we work. It’s the billions of files and information flowing across teams, departments, and key business processes every single day: contracts, invoices, employee records, financials, product specs, marketing assets, and more.

Our mission is to bring intelligence to the world of content management and empower our customers to completely transform workflows across their organizations. With the combination of AI and enterprise content, the opportunity has never been greater to transform how the world works together and at Box you will be on the front lines of this massive shift.

WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

Security Analysts on the Trust and Safety team play a vital role in protecting Box, its platform, and its customers from abuse, fraud, and malicious actors. This role is ideal for a professional who combines strong data analysis fundamentals with a deep interest in security investigations, threat actor tracking, and tuning ML/AI detection models.

Working at the intersection of security, product, and engineering, you will collaborate across Box to design and implement robust defenses while preserving a seamless customer experience.

Because abuse mitigation at Box is fundamentally a massive-scale data challenge, this position offers the creative autonomy to develop novel analytical techniques, uncover hidden patterns, and proactively adapt to evolving threat behaviors to ensure our systems remain resilient and effective.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Identify, investigate, and track threat actor campaigns across Box's platform
  • Apply analytical tools and techniques to distinguish malicious activity from legitimate customer behavior at scale
  • Partner with Trust and Safety Software Engineers to tune the precision and recall of ML/AI detection models by monitoring campaign evolution and analyzing false positives and false negatives
  • Respond to complex customer security escalations, collaborating cross-functionally to drive resolution
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to design and implement detection and response strategies
  • Develop and iterate on novel analytical methods to uncover hidden patterns and proactively adapt to evolving threat behavior
