Function Specialist Application (FA)

What will you be responsible for?

You will join the Engineering team in Turin, supporting the application, calibration, validation, and performance optimization of specific powertrain control functions in real-world environments.

• You will calibrate powertrain control functions on the RB control unit, ensuring the delivery of validated software subsets in line with project timelines and quality requirements.
• You will support the development and efficiency improvement of calibration activities, including the training and application of AI models.
• You will provide first-line technical support for issues identified during field tests, test-bench activities, vehicle testing, and customer fleet operations.
• You will act as a technical interface between internal development teams, project stakeholders, and customers for the assigned functions.
• You will perform diagnostic and validation activities and support OEM-related integration tasks.
• You will contribute to the analysis of technical issues, definition of corrective actions, and continuous improvement of calibration and application processes.
• You will work in an international and cross-functional environment, combining software, calibration, vehicle, and customer-related activities.

What distinguishes you?

Education

Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, with a strong interest in the automotive industry.

Technical skills

• You have a good understanding of combustion engines and powertrain systems.
• You have intermediate programming skills and an interest in AI model training and data-driven applications; knowledge of Python is preferred.

Experience

Previous exposure to calibration, control functions, diagnostics, software application, test-bench activities, or vehicle testing is considered a plus.

Working approach

You are results-oriented, quality-conscious, and able to approach technical topics in a structured and analytical way. You are motivated to continuously learn and improve.

Personality

You are proactive, organized, and a clear communicator. You enjoy hands-on technical work and feel comfortable working on test benches and vehicles, as well as interacting with internal stakeholders and customers.

Languages

Good command of English; knowledge of Italian is strongly preferred.

Availability

You are willing to travel for business purposes, approximately 30% of the time.

In line with our compensation policies, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position lies within the range € 30. 000 - €40. 000 for a 40-hour work week.
