**Position Overview**

We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience with C\# and SQL to join our Tier 2 Production Support Engineering team supporting a large, distributed healthcare payment platform. This high\-impact role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving production issues while collaborating with engineering teams and occasionally working directly with customers.

The position participates in a 24/7 on\-call rotation and is primarily hybrid/remote, with candidates expected to be located in the St. Louis area and attend on\-site training. **What You'll Do:**

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues across a large, distributed healthcare platform.
  • Investigate application behavior using SQL, application logs, and monitoring tools.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Debug and Diagnose integrations (API, SSO)
  • Develop and implement code fixes, utilities, automation, and other solutions to improve system reliability and supportability.
  • Perform root\-cause analysis for production incidents and help identify permanent solutions for recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, database, operations, and other technical teams to resolve issues spanning multiple systems.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non\-technical stakeholders and occasionally work directly with healthcare customers to investigate complex issues.
  • Take ownership of production issues from initial investigation through resolution and follow\-up.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7 on\-call schedule supporting business\-critical production systems.

**What You'll Bring to Zelis:**

  • 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience developing, debugging, or supporting applications using C\# .NET.
  • Working knowledge of SQL including the ability to query and analyze data for troubleshooting.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem\-solving skills with an interest in understanding how complex systems work.
  • Ability to read existing code and trace application behavior across multiple services and system components.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, business partners, and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize and take ownership in a fast\-paced, high\-impact production environment.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating 24/7 on\-call schedule.

**Preferred:**

  • Experience working with APIs and service integrations.
  • Familiarity with SSO, authentication, and authorization concepts.
  • Familiarity with Splunk, Logic Monitor, New Relic, and other monitoring tools

**Location and Workplace Flexibility**

Zelis is headquartered in the U. S. , with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India.

While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U. S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed.

Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in\-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

**Base Salary Range**

$101,600\. 00 \- $139,700\. 00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job\-related and industry\-related knowledge and skills, etc.

Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
