Generative AI Engineer

AI Application Engineer – .NET/Java, GenAI, DevOps & AWS Location: Austin, TX Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 annually About the Role We are seeking a hands-on AI Application Engineer with strong experience in software development, AI/GenAI integration, DevOps, and AWS Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background in .NET/C# (preferred) or Java , with experience building, deploying, and supporting AI-enabled applications in production. This role combines application development with cloud delivery and operations, taking AI solutions from implementation through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-enabled enterprise applications using .NET/C# or Java, with Python for AI integrations.
• Build solutions using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic AI, AI APIs, and prompt engineering.
• Integrate AI capabilities into application workflows, backend services, and enterprise systems.
• Deploy and operate applications on AWS, including containerized workloads using Kubernetes/EKS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps practices.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
• Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and security controls to support production reliability.
• Troubleshoot application, AI integration, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, and business teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Required Qualifications and Skills Strong software engineering experience with hands-on development in .NET/C# or Java .
• Practical experience building and deploying AI/GenAI applications.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, AI APIs, and prompt engineering.
• Working knowledge of Python for AI integrations and supporting services.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, and GitOps.
• Experience deploying and supporting production applications in cloud environments.
• Good understanding of application security, monitoring, observability, and production reliability.
• Ability to work across application engineering, AI integration, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong .NET/C# experience combined with AI application development.
• Experience owning the delivery lifecycle of AI-enabled applications, from development through production operations.
• Ideal Candidate A hands-on engineer who can build AI solutions, integrate them into enterprise applications, and automate their deployment and operation on AWS.
