Job Description

Yuit is seeking a highly organized, proactive Account Manager who enjoys working with creative teams and building trusted client relationships. This role will focus on one or more of the following; tourism, hospitality, oil, healthcare or performing arts clients. Experience in tourism/hospitality, public administration, oil and gas, health care, social assistance, or the performing arts is preferred.

The right person is comfortable presenting, curious, and eager to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients
• Build trusted relationships and understand each client’s audiences, seasonality, business model, and revenue drivers
• Coordinate internal teams to deliver work on time and on budget
• Guide clients on messaging, branding, PR, advertising, and audience development
• Develop strategies that support visitation, bookings, attendance, ticket sales, and growth
• Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and maintain a high standard of quality
• Understand and manage the full advertising process from concept through execution
• Solve problems proactively, communicate clearly, and keep work moving
• Maintain organized budgets, timelines, documentation, and reports

Key Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day client communication and maintain strong, professional relationships.
• Understand each client’s brand, audience, seasonality, market, and marketing goals.
• Coordinate advertising campaigns, digital projects, and marketing materials across internal teams.
• Write clear creative briefs that align deliverables with client goals.
• Track timelines, budgets, scope, approvals, revisions, and deliverables.
• Review work from the client, guest, traveler, or patron perspective.
• Help clients build relationships with the broader Yuit team, not only their account manager.
• Present status, budgets, performance, and recommendations to clients and agency leadership.
• Identify account growth opportunities and support proposals, annual plans, and budgets.
• Stay current on marketing and sector trends, bringing useful ideas to clients and the team.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of account management or marketing experience. Experience in tourism/hospitality, public administration, oil and gas, health care and social assistance, or the performing arts is preferred. Agency experience is helpful, not required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple clients and projects.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership and building trust.
• Working knowledge of digital marketing and project management tools; eager to learn new systems.
• Positive attitude, lifelong-learner mindset, and commitment to exceptional client service.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Anchorage, Alaska. Local presence is important for client relationships and participation in tourism, hospitality, arts, and community events.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Standard 8-hour workday
