About this role
Mobile Nurse Practitioner – Wound Care | Oʻahu
Wound Care Hawaiʻi is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to bring wound care directly to patients where they live — homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other community settings across Oʻahu. If you'd rather be on the road building real relationships with patients than stuck in a single clinic all day, this role was built for that.
What the role looks like
You'll drive your own schedule, see patients one-on-one, and handle wound care from assessment through treatment — all while backed by a physician-led team that's easy to reach when you need input.
A typical day includes:
- Assessing wounds and building a treatment plan tailored to each patient
- Hands-on care: debridement, dressing changes, infection management, offloading
- Teaching patients and caregivers how to support healing at home
- Logging visits and progress in the EMR, staying HIPAA-compliant
- Looping in physicians, agencies, and families as needed
- Driving between patient locations throughout your territory
What you'll need:
- Active Hawaiʻi NP license
- Current BLS/CPR card
- A Hawaiʻi driver's license, your own vehicle, and comfort with daily travel
- Confidence making clinical calls independently in the field
- Background in wound care, geriatrics, home health, hospice, or post-acute care is a plus, not a must
Pay & structure:
1099 independent contractor, full-time hours, visit-based pay. Strong earners can clear $100+/hour equivalent — we'll walk through specifics in the interview.
Why NPs stick around here:
- Real autonomy — your day, your route, your pace
- Deeper patient relationships than a typical clinic allows
- A physician team that actually supports you, not just supervises
- A growing local company with room to specialize and grow with it
Where you'll work:
On the road across Oʻahu — patient homes, SNFs, ALFs, and other community sites.
Pay: $144,000.00 - $177,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
