What will you be doing?

WWT (World Wide Technology) is looking for an Agile Product Owner to lead the Opportunity-to-Quote

(O2Q) process for our software recurring revenue business. The Product Owner is a connector,

orchestrator, and navigator between the IT (Information Technology) Organization and the Business,

ensuring that the systems and processes supporting opportunity capture, configuration, pricing, and

quoting for subscription and consumption-based software offers meet the needs of our business partners.

The Product Owner turns vision into reality and, with the solution architect, helps guide the delivery team

in building and enhancing the CRM/CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) capabilities that move a deal from

opportunity to a signed, quote-ready order.

An ideal candidate must have previous experience owning one or more products within the Opportunity-

to-Quote space and have a solid understanding of product management techniques, CPQ (Configure-

Price-Quote) tooling, and a background in recurring revenue offers and/or billing systems. An IT Product

Owner plays a key role within agile development teams and is responsible for translating the strategic

vision outlined by the IT Product Manager into actionable tasks and features that the development team

can implement. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, the Product Owner

plays a crucial role in defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog. They work closely

with stakeholders to gather and distill requirements, ensuring that the development team has a

clear understanding of what needs to be built and why. Throughout the development process, the Product

Owner makes decisions on priorities, clarifies requirements, and provides continuous feedback to the

team. Additionally, they participate in sprint planning, monitor progress, and collaborate with the quality

assurance team to ensure the final product aligns with customer expectations and business objectives.

The role demands a combination of technical understanding, business acumen, and effective

communication skills to successfully guide the development team in delivering a product that meets both

customer needs and organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures alignment and continuity between the Opportunity-to-Quote roadmap

and the broader recurring revenue Product Manager vision. Communicates a

clear vision and strategy for the CRM/CPQ capabilities being developed.

  • Gather and prioritize requirements for opportunity management, product

configuration, pricing, discounting, and quote generation based on feedback from

Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance, ensuring that the development team has a clear

understanding of what needs to be built.

  • Work closely with development teams to build and enhance CRM/CPQ

functionality (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ) in accordance with the

Agile methodology, including defining and prioritizing user stories and managing

the product backlog.

  • Participate in sprint planning meetings, help the team understand the scope of

work for each sprint, and ensure that O2Q process improvements stay on track.

  • Collect and integrate feedback from Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance into the

opportunity-to-quote process, ensuring quotes are accurate, compliant, and

ready for downstream billing and invoicing.
