Physical Therapist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, with experience w/children in the outpatient setting.

You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and guiding patients through rehabilitation exercises to improve their mobility and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, home exercises, and wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving from inpatient to outpatient care.

Skills

• Proficient in medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience with discharge planning processes to facilitate patient transitions.
• Knowledge of geriatric care principles for effective treatment of older adults.
• Strong background in physical therapy techniques across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and clinic environments.
• Familiarity with trigger point therapy techniques for pain management.
• Understanding of acute care protocols to address immediate patient needs.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
