Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst with strong expertise in manual and automated testing, SQL, Linux, and database validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of complex software applications, including user interfaces, business intelligence solutions, and real-time transaction-processing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Perform manual, functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency using SQL queries and relational databases.
• Test user interfaces and transaction-processing systems to ensure expected functionality and performance.
• Analyze application logs and database records using Linux command-line tools to investigate defects.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and scripting languages.
• Track defects, validate fixes, and collaborate with development and business teams to resolve issues.
• Perform large-volume data comparisons and validate ETL workflows and business intelligence reports.
• Support continuous integration and automated testing using tools such as Jenkins.
• Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software QA/testing, including at least 2 years of experience with test automation.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and automated regression testing.
• Thorough knowledge of Linux command-line operations and application log analysis.
• Experience in manual, functional, and end-to-end testing of software applications.
• Experience with database testing, data validation, and large-volume data comparison.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Python, Shell, Perl, or other scripting languages.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehouse testing.
• Experience with BusinessObjects or other business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with TOAD or similar database tools.
• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Cucumber/BDD frameworks.
• Experience in financial services, capital markets, stock exchanges, or real-time financial transaction systems.
• Familiarity with OneTick or similar time-series databases.
• Basic knowledge of Java.
