About this role
Are you organized, dependable, and someone people naturally turn to for help? Do you enjoy working with people, solving problems, and making a positive difference?
As a family-owned company with over 60 years of experience building quality homes, we believe our people are the foundation of our success. We value teamwork, respect, accountability, and creating a workplace where employees feel supported and valued. We're looking for a positive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys both administrative responsibilities and working with people.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values organization, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, efficient, and capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion while assisting with data entry, reporting, and daily administrative tasks.
Whether you have HR experience or a strong administrative background and an interest in growing into Human Resources, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
Working closely with our HR Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting our employees, manufacturing supervisors, and daily HR administrative functions.
- Provide administrative support for daily HR operations, including employee attendance, vacations, records, documentation, and reporting while ensuring confidentiality.
- Build positive, professional relationships with manufacturing employees and managers.
- Respond to employee questions and help connect them with the appropriate resources.
- Handle confidential and sensitive employee information and situations with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Coordinate and administer employee engagement, recognition, and appreciation programs that promote a positive workplace culture, employee morale, and retention.
- Plan and organize company-sponsored events, employee activities, and celebrations.
- Assist and provide support for employee benefits and other HR operations.
- Coordinate applications, interviews, and hiring activities with the HR Manager.
- Assist with new employee onboarding, orientation, and required paperwork.
- Help create a welcoming and positive experience for new employees; answering questions and providing general guidance of workplace attendance policies.
- Assist the HR Manager with employee relations matters, documentation, and follow-up.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through communication, teamwork, and respect.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who brings the right combination of people skills, administrative abilities, and personal integrity.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with maturity and professionalism.
- Approachable, trustworthy, and comfortable working with employees at all levels.
- Ability to listen, remain objective, and exercise good judgment.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Previous administrative, office support, or HR experience preferred.
- Interest in learning and growing within the Human Resources field.
HR experience is a plus, but not required! We're willing to train someone who brings strong administrative skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting people.
