You will work side by side with a team of dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused professionals who are committed to delivering on our founding core values: Excellence, Teamwork, and Integrity.

The Opportunity

The AI Engineer will work closely with our Director of AI Solutions to build and maintain useful AI tools, manage the platforms our teams use, and support the rollout of new capabilities across the firm. The role requires a strong software engineering foundation, a track record of independently building projects, and the communication skills to make technical ideas accessible.

  • Help configure and manage AI platforms, including user roles, permissions, tool access, and appropriate safeguards.
  • Provide technical support for AI tools and issues that require engineering expertise beyond standard helpdesk support.
  • Train and guide employees on AI fundamentals, new tools, and workflows as they are introduced.
  • Work with colleagues across the firm to understand their needs and turn them into useful, accessible solutions.
  • Apply sound judgment around privacy, security, legal considerations, and responsible AI use.
  • Maintain and improve existing solutions, ensuring they are understandable, reliable, and useful over time.
  • Share reusable approaches and contribute to the broader technical community when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience, with a strong software engineering background.
  • Demonstrated experience building projects or tools, either professionally or independently, and the ability to explain the problem, approach, and results.
  • Experience with AI tools and platforms such as Claude and GPT; familiarity with Grok or other AI platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with JavaScript and/or Python, backend or full-stack development, APIs, or platform integrations.
  • Ability to assess, debug, and maintain software, including code developed with AI assistance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to people with different levels of technical experience.
  • Good judgment in an enterprise environment, including awareness of access control, privacy, security, and legal considerations.
  • UX experience or a demonstrated interest in making technical tools intuitive and easy to use is a plus.
  • Open-source contributions are valued but not required.

Compensation
