We are seeking is a Family Nurse Practitioner to work PRN shifts. FNPs provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, perform procedures, order lab tests and prescribe medication for children and adults.

Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

• Assessing urgent care patients and caring for them throughout their time at Wilmington 1st Walk-In.
• Performing physical examinations, caring for acute conditions such as strep and COVID, performing procedures needed to care for the patient
• Interpreting health measurements, administering prescribed medication, and facilitating suitable treatment interventions.
• Interpreting laboratory test results and collaborating with the team on treatment plans.
• Reporting deteriorating conditions to primary healthcare specialists without delay (completing chart for faxing to pcp).
• Completing patient files and health records in a timely manner
• Explaining treatments, procedures, and after-care instructions, as well as answering patients' questions.

Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

• Master of science in nursing degree (MSN).
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification
• New Grads welcome
• Prescriptive Authority (Controlled and General).
• Proficiency in electronic health records, such as ECW, Cerner, PowerChart, AllScipts and others
• Experience in assessing patients, prescribing safe and evidence based treatments for all patients including pediatric and geriatric.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices and most common complaints in urgent care.
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great organizational and time management abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Availability to work shifts including weekends and holidays (3 days per week).
