Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Family Law matters from inception through resolution.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Provide strategic counsel on divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, domestic violence matters, and other Family Law issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies designed to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships through responsive communication and sound legal advice.
• Partner effectively with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Stay current on New York Family Law developments, statutes, and case law.
• Contribute positively to the firm's culture of professionalism, teamwork, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of Family Law experience.
• Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize competing deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling complex Family Law matters.
• Experience conducting mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Established professional relationships within Westchester County and surrounding communities.
• Existing book of business is welcomed but not required.
