About this role
Wetherbee Pediatric Therapy | North Hollywood, California
Wetherbee Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Certified Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing interdisciplinary team. This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and families while working in a collaborative, creative, and supportive clinical environment.
Our practice takes a holistic approach to pediatric therapy, recognizing that every child has their own strengths, challenges, and path to development. Our approach brings together movement, sensory experiences, play-based learning, and evidence-informed interventions to help children build functional skills and participate more fully in everyday life.
We are especially interested in clinicians with experience in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), pediatric feeding therapy, or either specialty who are excited to share their knowledge and collaborate with families and fellow therapists.
Position Overview
- Approximately 30–36 hours per week
- Outpatient pediatric therapy setting
- Close collaboration with an interdisciplinary clinical team
- Opportunities to develop specialized skills and expand clinical knowledge
Your Role
- Design and deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions based on each child's needs and goals.
- Help children develop sensory processing, motor, developmental, and everyday functional skills.
- Partner with parents and caregivers to establish meaningful goals and encourage progress beyond the clinic.
- Use engaging, play-based activities and child-centered strategies during treatment sessions.
- Coordinate care with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other team members.
- Share clinical insights, contribute ideas, and participate in collaborative problem-solving.
- Support a welcoming environment where children and families feel heard, respected, and encouraged.
What We're Looking For
- Current California Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain California licensure.
- Experience or a strong foundation in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Background in DMI, pediatric feeding therapy, or both is highly valued.
- DMI Level C certification or above is preferred. Candidates who are interested in further training may also be considered.
- Understanding of sensory processing, neuromotor development, and family-centered care.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families and colleagues.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to keep learning alongside an interdisciplinary team.
You do not need to specialize in both DMI and feeding therapy to apply. We welcome qualified OTs who bring experience in either area and are interested in contributing to our clinical team.
Our Approach
Wetherbee Pediatric Therapy values curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and connection. We believe great care happens when therapists feel supported in bringing their clinical knowledge, ideas, and personalities into their work.
