The

Technical Project Manager

will own the delivery lifecycle for the WealthPlus workplace benefits and financial wellness platform, serving as the operational bridge between Product, Engineering, QA, Operations, Compliance, and Client Success. This role translates product requirements and business needs into sequenced, resourced, and accountable delivery plans, and drives those plans through sprint execution, release readiness, UAT, and deployment.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, technically fluent project manager who is comfortable in the details of integration, data flows, and system dependencies, and who can keep multiple concurrent workstreams moving against firm timelines. Experience in retirement, recordkeeping, wealth technology, or workplace benefits is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end project delivery across the WealthPlus platform, spanning epics, features, release scope, dependencies, and product documentation.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering for plan/account setup, participant/member elections, transactions, reporting, integrations, and digital user experiences.
  • Translate business needs into delivery plans, interface definitions, data mappings, business rules, configuration options, edge cases, and open questions.
  • Maintain delivery plans, backlogs, and documentation in tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, specification reviews, QA reviews, UAT sessions, release planning, and product demos.
  • Track feedback, dependencies, decisions, defects, and follow-ups across Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Client Success, Implementation, and Sales, escalating blockers with a recommended path forward.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience in technical project management, program management, delivery management, or business analysis within fintech, financial services, wealth management, workplace benefits, recordkeeping or enterprise SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ownership of software delivery through releases, user acceptance testing, requirements documentation, process improvement, implementation, or operational workflows.
  • Experience running agile or hybrid delivery processes, including dependency management, risk management, and change control.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong written communication skills and ability to document requirements, workflows, notes, and decisions clearly.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholder inputs.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand business rules, workflows, data relationships, user needs, and platform configuration.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to work with data models, integrations, APIs, and system interfaces, and to interrogate designs and estimates.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Technology, QA, Operations, Compliance, Client Success, Implementation, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable using product, documentation, spreadsheet, reporting, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, Lucidchart, Figma, Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar platforms.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to 401(k), 403(b), IRA, HSA, workplace benefits, retirement plan admin, payroll, wealth management, financial operations, healthcare benefits, or recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with administration workflows including implementation, account setup, payroll, eligibility, reporting, notices, transfers, claims, reimbursements, and compliance.
  • Prior experience in a fintech, SaaS, benefits administration, TPA, recordkeeping, wealth management, healthcare benefits, or financial services environment in a multi-stakeholder service or platform model.
  • Comfort working with data files, field mappings, APIs, configuration rules, product documentation, or system testing.
  • Project management or agile certification (PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent).

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $150,000 - $175,000 for NYC in-person employees (commensurate with experience and geographic market).
  • Annual discretionary bonus and equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
