Job description
About this role
Software Dev Job Overview
About the Role
We’re looking for a Software Developer to design, build, and maintain web applications from early prototype to production. You’ll work across the stack, collaborate with product and business teams, and use modern tools, including AI-assisted development, to deliver reliable software quickly. This role suits someone who enjoys ownership, works well with some ambiguity, and cares about both speed and quality.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain full stack web applications, from front-end interfaces to back-end services and APIs.
- Work with product and business stakeholders to turn requirements into small, testable releases.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Deploy and support applications in a cloud environment (AWS and/or Azure).
- Use AI coding assistants to speed up development while reviewing, testing, and owning the final code.
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code that is secure and maintainable.
- Debug and improve existing systems across the stack.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Communicate trade-offs, risks, and progress clearly to technical and non-technical teammates.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of shipping products.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one back-end language (Python, Java, C#, or Node.js).
- Experience with React or another modern front-end framework.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure and Docker.
- Comfort with Git/GitHub and CI/CD workflows.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day work.
- Strong ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently on a remote team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating AI features (e.g., LLMs, retrieval) into a product.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or monitoring/observability tools.
Pay: $116,000.00 - $141,500.00 per year
Work Location: Remote
