What you'll do...

---------------------

Position Summary Walmart Marketplace is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Management to lead the strategy and development of a next-generation Risk and Compliance Decision Platform that powers how we identify, assess and act on risk and compliance across the Marketplace.

You will lead the development of a common decisioning platform that brings together machine learning models, risk signals, business rules, policies and third-party data to make consistent, explainable and scalable risk decisions. The platform will enable teams to build and manage decision strategies, evaluate changes before deployment, automate actions and continuously measure decision effectiveness.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Data Science, Risk and Operations. You will lead a team of product managers and build foundational platform capabilities that can be reused across seller onboarding, lifecycle risk, compliance, fraud and enforcement. What you’ll do

  • Lead the product strategy and roadmap for a next-generation Risk Decision Platform that powers decisions across seller onboarding, lifecycle risk, compliance and enforcement.
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers responsible for the risk decisioning ecosystem
  • Build a common decisioning platform that brings together ML models, risk scores, behavioral signals, third-party data and business rules to determine the right action.
  • Enable Risk and Compliance teams to configure decision strategies, thresholds and actions without requiring engineering changes for every policy update.
  • Build end-to-end decision orchestration capabilities, from ingesting risk signals through evaluating decision logic and executing the appropriate action.
  • Build closed-loop measurement that connects decisions to downstream outcomes and enables teams to measure false positives, false negatives and overall decision effectiveness.
  • Establish enterprise-grade governance including strategy versioning, approvals, change history, rollback, explainability and auditability.
  • Create reusable platform capabilities and APIs that allow new risk signals and models to be integrated and rapidly adopted across multiple use cases.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Data Science to define platform architecture and operationalize ML and AI capabilities at scale.

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record building and scaling complex risk and fraud platforms
  • 3+ years as a proven people leader with experience building, leading and developing high-performing product teams.
  • Direct experience building a risk decisioning platform, decision engine, fraud platform, credit decisioning platform or comparable automated decision system.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep understanding of how ML models, risk signals, rules, policies and data are orchestrated into automated decisions and actions.
  • Strong technical fluency across APIs, real-time and batch systems, data platforms, event-driven architectures and ML infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, ambiguous initiatives across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
  • Experience in large scale Marketplaces or eCommerce organizations
