Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families. In this role, you will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, provide education and support, and collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

This position does not include direct leadership responsibilities but plays a key role in supporting exceptional patient outcomes and the mission of WakeMed.

What you'll do

• Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support quality patient outcomes.
• Support WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care model through respectful communication, information sharing, participation, and collaboration.

Who you are

• Licensed nurse with knowledge of professional nursing practice and patient care principles.
• Skilled in patient assessment, care planning, and clinical decision-making.
• Committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Effective communicator who works well with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Dedicated to upholding professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational values.
