This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a long-term position based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Child Support Services program stakeholders, IT teams, developers, and data teams to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Analyze existing business processes, system workflows, and data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and other technical documentation.
- Use SQL to query, analyze, reconcile, and validate data across systems and databases.
- Support data mapping, data quality analysis, reporting, system integration, and migration activities.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support Salesforce initiatives by gathering requirements, analyzing workflows, validating configurations, and assisting with testing and implementation.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, and production validation.
- Analyze Child Support Services workflows and ensure technology solutions appropriately support program and operational requirements.
- Assist with reporting, documentation, stakeholder communication, and ongoing system enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Business Analyst, IT Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
- Experience working with Salesforce as a Business Analyst or supporting Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
- Experience working within Child Support Services/Child Support Enforcement programs or systems.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Experience working collaboratively with business users, developers, QA teams, data teams, and other technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting modernization or transformation of Child Support Services systems.
- Experience with data migration, system integration, data mapping, or data reconciliation.
- Familiarity with government or public-sector human services programs.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and UAT.
- Salesforce certifications or formal Salesforce Business Analyst experience are a plus.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate combines Child Support Services subject-matter knowledge with strong technical and analytical capabilities. They understand how child support programs operate while also being comfortable working directly with data, SQL, Salesforce, and technical delivery teams.
They should be able to move between business conversations and detailed system/data analysis and ultimately grow into a long-term member of the organization.
